What is a corporate kit?
A corporate kit is the physical record book for your company. It holds your organizational documents, a numbered set of stock or membership certificates, a transfer ledger, and your embossing seal, all in a binder personalized with your entity name. Corporations, LLCs, limited partnerships and nonprofits each use a slightly different set of documents.
What is a corporate seal and do I need one?
A corporate seal is a hand embosser that presses your entity name, state and year of formation into paper. Most states no longer require one, but banks, title companies and foreign jurisdictions frequently ask for sealed documents, so it is included in every kit we build.
How is the kit customized?
You enter the entity name, state, formation year, number of authorized shares or membership units, and certificate wording when you order. We engrave the seal, emboss the binder and print the certificates to match. Longer entity names over 50 characters carry a small engraving surcharge.
Can I order a corporate kit and seal together?
Yes — the seal is part of the kit price. You can also buy a seal on its own, or add extra certificates, a customized operating agreement (LLC) or minutes & bylaws (corporation) during checkout.
Do you offer LLC startup kits?
Yes. The LLC kit swaps stock certificates for membership certificates and includes a customized operating agreement option instead of minutes & bylaws.
